Hospital Facilities

Accomodation

As far as possible we try to accomodate parents with their babies, we have a limited number of rooms on the ward in in nearby houses. Please see page on accommodation for details.

Food

The hospital canteen, the "Hillside Restaurant" is located on floor B and is open

There is also a kitchen on the ward for parents (see ward plan) which has a microwave, kettle and toaster.

There are two supermarkets within 10 minutes walk, Somerfield at the top of St Michael's hill and Sainsburys on Queens Street (see local map). There is also a Marks & Spencers and Tescos Express in Broadmead selling a good range of ready meals.

Telephones

Mobiles telephones are not permitted within the hospital but can be used outside. There are payphones in the main reception.

Shops

There are two shops in the main reception area, "Small and Cute" selling baby clothes and a WRVS shop selling newspapers, magazines, sweets etc.
